I'm getting the LS6 intake...Remove AIR & EGR before tune?

I'd like to remove my AIR & EGR to clean up my engine bay and so I don't have to worry about the EGR when i get the ls6 intake manifold. When I got O2 codes deleted and a street tune, my tuner said it wouldn't be a good idea to remove these systems because of emissions. I know that if i get the block off plates and have the codes deleted I will pass emissions here in CT. Does this sound like a good idea? Thanks in advance.

you will not gain power from removing them it would just clean up your engine bay. but then it would cause emissions problems so i would leave them on.

You don't need them, so as long as you can still pass emmissions in your area rip them out.

I think i'll prally take them out at some point and use the block off plates cuz i should be able to get the codes tuned out when i get my dyno tune. How can someone get the ls6 intake and still keep EGR?? That's why I want to remove it and it will also make the engine bay look better.

SLP makes a LS6 with an egr hole. But its more $$ and there is no point in keeping the egr.

Summit makes both LS6 intakes and I have found them to be the cheapest in price.
