I need some advice

I am going to look at a used ls6 intake manifold tomorrow and I am wondering what I should be looking for in flaws with the piece. He claims it only has 50,000 mi on it. The guy got it from his friends 02 ss and said he had to grind the fins off of it to fit his 99 z28 but he never put it on his car. Is that normal? Are there any other things I should be looking for to see if its still a good piece or not?

Thats normal about grinding the fins to make it fit a 98-00. Look at the back where the map sensor is to make sure its there and no cracking around that area. Other than that, buying used LS6 intakes is rather safe.
