I'm running pacesetter LT's and love them. that being said usually the more you pay for a set of headers the longer they will last.
    stainless being the longest lasting.
pacesetters have 1 5/8 primaries, which work fine for stock cubes. some of the others can come with as big as 1 7/8 primaries which work better on bigger cube motors (408 stroker), but you could lose alittle torque with the bigger primaries on a 5.7l.

    hope I helped

yup mark hit it on the head...for most applications look for primaries size. collectors you should also keep a eye out for...dont worry about equal length just yet..unless your really pushing some flow/numbers. i like kooks or qtp headers. i am going to be getting a pair of kook or qtp SS lt headers for my car in the near future

I have Pacesetter LT with cats-air-egr removed. I also have the TSP true duals with x pipe and sweet thunder mufflers. Everything fits well and its pretty loud. If you want a quiet exhauxt system, don't get the true duals. They both sound real mean from idle to WOT.

true duals all depend on the muffler.

If you do want it really loud, like loud as hell, it's raspy, but I run Pacesetter LT's, ORY, and SLP Loud Mouth. Not a lot of people like it because it's so raspy, but I love it.

Are you a cheap ass like me...? Ebay special stainless headers, but I don't think they are even that many on there anymore.

TSP designed their header to be a budget header just like the Pacesetter BUT with larger primaries (1 7/8"). Thats the only difference.

Now as far as choosing a header brand, its all about your budget. If you can afford it go with Kook's, ARH or QTP. If you're on a budget look at Pacesetter or TSP. The more expensive headers are a different material and will last longer and will also make a tad more power, especially in higher horsepower applications.

As far as choosing a primary size, its all about what you want to do with the car. If you plan on staying with the stock shortblock with at most a H/C package, the 1 3/4" primaries with be the best choice.

I really wonder what the magic HP number is that makes any type of gain with going QTP, kooks, or hookers over pacesetters ? on stock cubes im going to take a shot at not seeing much gain intell your 500hp +. If you look at the header poll on this forum pacesetter ceramic coated LTs won by far by popularity. Go with the pacesetter Lt's and take the money you saved from not buying kooks, hooker etc. and go buy some more mods
