. My SES light came on again and its keeps on saying " catalyst efficiancy below threshold bank 1" Wuts wrong?? Should i replace them or shud i run an ORY. I know some ppl that will gimme the sticker, but wut are the other consequinces? Also my air bag light has been on for the past 3 months and no code comes up on the scanner. Any suggestions?

P0420? Most likely the drivers side cat but you can look up the diagnostics at gearchatter.com for your year. What type of scanner? Air bag is probably a BCM code and doesn't illuminate the MIL.

driver's cat is bad. factory warranty is 8/80k. free replacement, regardless if original owner. a generic scanner only pulls engine codes P series.

I have an o1 ta and the same thing happened to me, i changed my 1 o2 sensor on bank 1 and it fixed the problem you might try it.

I had the same problem a few months back and got both cats replaced for free.

i've had one on a few years back, but had a crappy weld job done after the headers. kept feeding false air into the O2 sensor on passenger side. i ended up getting an O2 simm for that side but now my drivers side one is going bad and throwing that code. i'm just going to get another O2 simm for that side now. lol. have to pass emmissions somehow, right.

I hate actual cats as well.

Right now I have to hang up some stock cats to get around emissions.

Find a little garage in a some town outside the city. Take a trip. Long as you have insurance most people in small towns don't care.

That would be AWESOME as Im at like, 78500 miles.

Dealer replaced my passenger cat today. Car is louder and the throttle is much more responsive. Feels great. Wish they wouldve done both sides, as the drivers will probably fail about 1k miles after the 80k mile warranty expires, but whatever.
