    Exclamation How to install Headers?

I need help installing some headers. This is going to be the first time I try this. Is there a website or something that shows you the steps to removing exhaust manifolds and installing headers? I just bought some Hooker LTs. I will try the install this monday, my day off. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced guys. The car is a 2002 Z28.

I have not done it yet, but from people I know that have, talked like that may be too much of a job for ONE day, especially if you must have the car for Tuesday. That is unless you are doing on a lift.

    My life is a
    Ben Stiller movie.

it's really not that hard, once you get the valve components out of the way, it's just some maneuvering and such-watch your head when you drop the original one!

No, that isn't me. Most other forums I use "Nonsequitur" as my nickname. I use Azrael for mainly the car boards (except SigForum).

My nickname on here and on the Corral used to be "Pale Horse" (because I once had an Oxford White '88 Mustang - so I rode a Pale Horse [biblical reference to Azrael - the archangel of death]). When I did away with the Mustang and started shopping for an LS1 I just changed the nickname... AFAIK "Pale Horse" is not in this DB of member names anymore...

I would not want to even try this without a lift.

It took the wife, a freind, and I about a full day to do the whole thing. We had the rear up on ramps and the front on 3 Ton jack stands almost fully extended ~19"...

The actual hardest part was the disassembly of the stock exhaust, and then at the other end the assembly of the Y-pipe mating to the headers.

    Yes, LTs in California

They are in, I decided to take them to get done by a professional. They sound awesome with my GMMG. It is freakin loud on the freeway at wide open throtle (just how I like it). Hope I dont get pulled over by the CHP. Thanks for the help guys.

If you are running ORY it is due to the lack of Cats... BTW you will be running rich (actually lean, but the computer compensates by dumping fuel) until you get a tune...

It isn't a true muscle/pony car until you sit a stop and chop and stink!! Better to scare small animals and make small children dizzy with fumes!! WOO HOO!!!

BTW we have not gotten pulled over, and we are running a TR224/112 LSA (Soon to be a 230/227 112LSA) through LT/ORY/cutout...
