    How important is ceramic coating?

Hey guys, I'm going to be getting pacesetter headers. How important is the ceramic coating? Is it really $110 worth it? Thanks

to me it was. it will flake off over time, but it keeps temps down and the headers will last longer.
not like they would rust out even if they were unpainted

Keeps the heat in and looks alot better than flaking paint and rust.

seeing as you live in new york, YOU NEED COATING. it will help prevent rust. if you really want to be sure the only option is stainless steel

the coating does not help prevent rust at all, its just a coating over the metal to retain heat, it protects just as much as the paint does.

Yea im gonna have too disagree with the whole rust prevention thing. Its function is too keep the under hood temps down. As far as rust 4 months of driving and they will rust.

paint would peel off after a few drives because of the heat.
the coating doesnt. so while it wont stop rust, it will slow it down.
    then again, stainless headers rust
