How do I get rid of rasp?

I have an 02 WS6 with Hooker LT's, ORY-P, no cats, and magnaflow catback exhaust. It has some rasp to it. What's the best way to get rid of the rasp. Should I buy a bullet muffler, glasspack, resonators, etc... What's the best in terms of getting rid of the rasp and making a more refined sound. Thanks

Wouldn't go with a glasspack ever. A bullet in you i-pipe will help a bit.

Agree with Form---get a weld in Hooher muffler to replace the Magnaflow. I have the same setup with Hooker CB and NO rasp

If you want to keep your exhaust setup then install a bullet on your intermediate pipe. This will reduce the raspiness you're experiencing.

Or you can just ditch the Magnaflow entirely and go with a GMMG. I previously had both Borla and Corsa on my WS6. Both sounded good as long as I was using the stock manifolds and cats - as soon as I installed the LT's and !cats - car sounded like a cross between a weedwhacker & a Ferrari

3rd (and last) exhaust was GMMG - some of the best $$ spent on the car to date - love the old musclecar sound and there is absolutley no rasp.

Large bullet in the I-pipe or two small bullets before the exhaust tips.

Add the cats back on and rasp will be gone. The cats only take away around 5 h.p and it will sound alot better. With FLP LTs andMagnaflow catback my car had a fluttering rasp that sounded like a machine gun when I punched it and was really loud and abnoxious.
