    Hooker Header installation on LS1

Im looking at buying hooker headers for my 02 camaro, any opinions i can get on these from previous installations would be great.

Im really curious of how easy these will be to fit, and how they are going to mount up to my cats which i plan on keeping

Ceramic coated / non ceramic coated - advantages/disadvantages would be great.

also curios if theres any extra parts that will be needed other than headers/bolts/gaskets/ect.

Were any modifications needed to make these fit correctly?

Any help would be appreciated since i have never installed headers on my car before, still got the stock shortys on

Long tube headers will not mount up to the factory Y pipe, so there is no way you can retain the original cats. you definitely need to add a Y pipe to your list of parts. i believe texas-speed sells a catted Y that will work with the Hookers.

If your talking about Long tubes, your stock Cats wont work with them. You will need to pick up some High flow cats to weld in. Personaly i recommend Pacesetter, there cheap in price, great quality and are easy to instail. There are plenty of write up's around the site if you run a search.

No not even close. Those are just required if you want long tube headers. Get shorties and you wont gotta do shit.

And he won't gain shit with shorties either, nothing worth the effort anyways.
