    Headers, ORY, Magnaflow

well, im about to order my pacesetter LT's, off road y pipe, and magnaflow cat-back. a friend of mine has a 2000 Z28, just like mine. he had ran the same exhaust as im ordering before he installed his STS turbo. he said he was able to install the headders with out unbolting the motor mounts. i have had a few people tell me that i will have to. any helpful hints on what i can do to get them in there. i have access to a car lift if needed

Yep thats how i did mine. As long as you get you car up high enough they should slip right in from the bottom.

Getting the old ones off was the part that took a long time for me.

with a friend you should be ok, 10mm rachet wrence comes in handy(but not a must)disconnect the coil packs make it a whole lot easier.

oh and might as well do spark plugs while your in there. Hoped that helped.
see your finally off the brandi thread lol

Yes and no. If you dont have the simulators then you just wont use your rear o2 sensors and you can just leave them diconnected, shouldnt hert anything. But you will trow a code. So if you dont want a code then yes.

I dont have them and i too have the pasesetters with the ory and i only use the first ones(with the extensions). I didnt get the simulators because once i get my intake im gunna get it tuned and a tune can take the codes from the o2 sensors off.

i crashed last night lol.if you dont plan to use an egr then race stlye(what i got). And hear agien im thowing a code bc of this(a tune will take that off).

Now if your not going to use your egr, you will need a block off plate to go on top of your intake(where the hose used to go)I left mine connected to the intake just does not connect to my headders(dont know if that herts anything)there is a whole write up on hear just do a search. It will tell you how to get rid of the egr its pretty simple and cleans up your engine bay, mabey even a few unnoticeable horses.

    any body eles...

honestly im not 100% sure but i think they just simply plug into your o2sensor harnest(instead of your o2 sensor its self)and give a reading as if your sensors are connected and working fine...

Skip the sims. Some work, some don't, and some last a month.

Get the rear O2 codes turned off. Cheaper than the sims actually.

Magnaflow with longtubes is an outstanding set-up. Isn't REALLY loud, but people will hear you. And it sounds SO smooth.

well, i ordered my exhaust. it will be here in about 4 business days. since i have a couple of friends with the magnaflow, i went with SLP loudmouth. but i still ordered pacesetter lt's, and the y pipe. i have been crossed on the loudmouth and the magnaflow for a long time. so i just chose the LM. some people hate it, some love it. i've heard it before and liked it. i like my shit VERY loud. so we will see what happens

    Very true.

To me, I can be loud....that is easy.
I want it to sound good...which is why I have ridded myself of SLP exhaust stuff.

Now that i have let other people drive my car and me by it or driving beside it its really loud now im looking for a deep rumble...

Did you get the 1 or 2 LM?

I heard LM on stock manifolds and cat sounded good, but from what i read once you add the LT and ORY it gets really RASPY, im trying to stay away from that.

But anyhow post a rev clip once you get it set in...
