    headers for ls1

What kind of headers would I need to fit my 2000 ss ls1. long or short ,which is better? What brand would be the best bang for the buck and performance?

If you don't have emissions then longtubes-no gains w/ shorties.

All Longtubes are about the same. Kooks and American racing are the best but pacesetters are the best bang for the buck.

An ORY(off road y-pipe.. catless..) will make it bolt right up to your exhaust.

You sure can, If you go with pacesetter lt's and ory your I pipe will stay the same which is where your slp is connected to.

your screwed is basically what living in cali means....

but on a side note, e-bay headers will be the cheapest, pacesetters will be the best midprice range header, but kooks and American Racing will be your absolute best, but most all will yield about the same gains, your higher end ones may show a little more over a non-equal length lower priced one...

but dont waste your time with shorties......

and if possible run an ORY (Y-pipe with no cats)
