    Header Question...

What are the best headers on the market for an 01 WS6? Money is not an option. I just want the best performance. I have been told that Hooker Long Tubes are my best option. What do the guys who know think?

Thanks in advance for your input.

    Chris

I am very happy with my Kooks.
If I ever have to buy another set, it will be them again.

Kooks or American Racing. If you're gonna run a Y pipe, AR has the nicest one out there.

Thanks for all the replies.... How much difference is there really at the rear wheel between the different header companies out there? Can it really be that drastic?

    Thanks again,
    Chris

I have pacesetters LT's and to be honest I was pleasently suprised very good for the money but if I were to buy new ones later on it would proabably be kooks (again not that pacesetters are great but stainless steel is the way to go!)

I'd say almost none. Big difference is in materials/workmanship.

Ahhhh, now thats some interesting information. You see, I have a 2001 WS6 with a mere 3,400 miles on her. So, its obvious that any header that is purchased will last forever since I only put about 20 miles on the car per year just to keep things from dry rotting and such. So with that being said, which header would be the best for my application?

    Thanks again,
    Chris

P.S. I am currently running a Mufflex 4" Catback System if that makes any difference in header selection.

I would say QTP or kooks would be the best
I put about 2-3,000 miles on my car a year and i went with the best bang for the buck headers pacesetter ceramic coated they have been on there for a little over a year now and no rust yet, but qtp or kooks would last longer i would think if money is no option and you want the best.

i would go with kooks or american racing. I've only seen positive reviews about these headers. I'm in the process of buying some kooks right now. Another good stainless brand that is rarely mentioned is dynatech. I personally helped install a dynatech supermaxx system (LT's &Y) and they fit great. Lately on tech i've been seeing posts about QTP's quality problems such as leaking collectors and having to grind the k-member to get them to fit.
