Header Question

I am about to purchase my longtubes but I was curious about some things, When I got my car tuned they went ahead and took out my egr code so does that mean I need the headers without the egr and air provisions, second I am purchasing the pacesetter LT but read somewhere that the ORY doesnt fit and to use a different one, third Whats the difference in using and ORY or getting a Catted Y pipe? Which is better any help would be appreciated

get the race style pacesetters minus the egr.
the pacesetter y pipe is fine. sometimes they need to be bent slighly so they dont bang the floor board.
