step 1......delete EGR
two 15 mm bolts on head......one 10mm bolt on intake (its a 2000) and two 10mm bolts on pass side exh manifold

new GM EGR block off.....or you can use 1 3/8 expandable rubber freeze plug

air tube removed from drv side exh manifold and header bolts removed

air pump under driver side fuse boxes.....HINT....underneath car

drv side motor mount set up.....BIG HINT....remove and leave out til you have header in.....remove ALT to reach mount bolts

diverter valve ....GONE....and you can see the DV selniod in the upper left corner....where you need to cap off the vacum line

remove drv side heat shield for extra room and keep from tearing up arms and hands.....two 7mm bolts

DV bracket is held on by one 10mm bolt on coil pack and one 15mm bolt on back of head.....YES it can be reached......YES its a PITA.....think gearwrench......and that hard plastic line.....where it leads to the DV selnoid needs to be capped.....i got a assortment of vacum caps at pimp boys.....it was a small one.....OR....you can remove the DV selnoid....and then plug the vacum line at the back of the manifold

grind rivets off of old clamshell.....what fun.....remove nasty shrunken GM rubber......cleanup.......i put grease on polys to make them fit in the clamshells easier.....bolt down with 2 bolts.............top and bottom
