    header heat wrap?

    is there any way to put an exhaust wrap (heat tape) on my headers while on the car. they were on the car when i bought it and they melt my wires i don't know why the guy didn't think of that before he put them on some people ha ha. i dont have the means of taking of the headers and would like to know if anyone has wrapped them on the car before?

    I think it would be pretty difficult to wrap your headers on the car. Have you thought about heat shields for your plug wires? Something like these would probably work well: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/THE-14200/ or http://www.heatshieldproducts.com/insul-boot.php

    thats proably what im gonna do .... well i tapped em up i think that was alot easier than trying to do the headers on the car. thanks for the input
