Header Gaskets
I was wondering what type of gaskets are the best to use. the copper gaskets pacesetter sends or the rubbery plastic ones they send. should i get new stock replacements OR should i use the ones that are with my headers on my motor already
thanks

Percy's Seal-4-Good Header Gaskets
I used Percy's on my 2000 Z28. They are about $37.00. Multi layer and form (compress) to any imperfections and sealed great. I read nothing but good reviews and wanted what others thought was the best regardless of price (within reason). Did not want to continually re torque or weird ticking noises.

Always gotten new GM gaskets.
They are the multi-layer steel (MLS) ones.

Yeah, good luck going in from the bottom, considering the heads are at the top of the engine. I suggest taking the y-pipe off the collectors so you can move the headers away from the heads to swap out gaskets. You may need to remove some things to get enough clearance to get to the bolts too.
