    Head Crossover Coolant Lines.

Removed the LS1 crossover coolant line from my engine and noticed that the o-rings stayed in the head. They look as though they are embossed into the head at the 4 coolant passages. The LS6 crossover tubes come with new o-rings.

This is a new engine for me and am not wanting to do a rookie mistake. Are the existing o-rings dug out of the heads and replaced with the orings that come with the LS6 crossover tube?

they aren't embossed to the head. they are just stuck there. they should be encased in a metal tab. just pry them off.
