2000 black T/A Vert- Red 99 C5 Coupe sold
going to do long tube headers, how to eliminate smog equipment?
I want to do Pacesetter long tubes in the near future, what is involved with getting rid of the smog equipment? I don't have any smog testing here?

You really don't need to get rid of anything. The long tubes have EGR provisions built onto the first tube on each bank. Any of the street legal ones will have those ports. The cats will come off with the old headers, so you won't need to worry about those.
If you want to get rid of all the emmissions equipment, you'll have to take everything out, block off the ports, and get a tune so that the computer ignores the AIR/EGR. Probably not worth it, doesn't hurt anything to have them their besides the few extra pounds they add.

If you do delete AIR and EGR, get their race headers. The race headers don't come with the EGR and AIR provisions, so they have a cleaner look and don't take up extra space. But you will have to block off the EGR ports.
