GMMG vs Magnaflow
Okay when i get the money saved up i plan to first put a new catback on my next trans am. Ive narrowed it down to magnaflow and GMMG. I know the gmmg costs much more but dont know if its really worth the extra money in performance or sound. Any opinions from anyone whos heard these in person?

The GMMG is incredible in the sound dept. If you ever heard one in person you would know what I'm talking about. I wish that would've been the catback I went with.

I have a friend that might be looking to sell his GMMG. Too loud and it rasps pretty bad now. But that is on a blown car, no cats, and longtubes.
I will never go against Magnaflow. My favorite exhaust for the LSx cars.

GMMG sounds great until you put long tubes on the car. Then it sound like garbage, just like SLP LM with long tubes.
If you're never going to get headers or an ORY, then the GMMG is good. But if you're planning on getting longtubes or deleting your cats, go with the Magnaflow for sure.

Ya thats what i was worried about with gmmg, that raspy sound. I do plan to get longtubes so magnaflow seems the better choice then. Does anyones one know what the difference in sound level is with the magnaflow if i go with no cats or a catted Y? assuming i already have longtubes on it

How much are they $700 or $800? Its been so long since Ive discussed this catback. Since before ls1.com took a dump, actually.

First of all, its your opinion if you don't like it, but don't bash me for mine or someone elses. So let off some steam before you start going ape on us. Second, GMMG is around the same damn price I haven't heard you once say anything about it. I personally like both the GMMG and Corsa simply because they both have their own unique sound. I would personally go Corsa over the GMMG system tho simply because it looks better and its not as common to see it on our cars like the GMMG is.

Catback sounds just as good to me.
Tips need help, but that isn't a big deal.
I also can't see spending anything over $500 on a catback.
Corsa/Borla/GMMG = $750'ish'
Magnaflow and Pacesetters = $900'ish'
I am too much of a performance guy to spend that much on a catback alone.
