gm replacement intake

is the intake that gm sell as replacement the same "ls6" intake that came with the 01-02's?

I think the Intake part # is 12561179. If you order the intake kit the part # is 88894339 and that comes with,the intake manifold
intake manifold seal #12560251
intake manifold gasket #12533587
throttle body seal #12552542
map sensor #16212460
map sensor seal #16194007

Thanks ill call the local dealership tomorrow. will I see the same gains as I would from a regular ls6 intake off a corvette?

Yep same thing. But you know that the intake doen't have have provisions for EGR Pipe right.

ls6 is a upgraded stock intake. Buy a good ones used, buy the plugs/pipes for the new intake then buy block off plates for your EGR..

it will set a SES light for EGR.. but that is easily fixed via a tune..
