    gm performance parts cold air

hey, i know this is not for a the ls1 but on the 5.3s and such. has anyone used the gmpp cold air kit. it seals off to the fender instead of sucking the somewhat stagnant air that the usual k&n and aem kits do. do you guys think that this is an advantage at all? the gm kit still has the big smooth bends w/o restrictors in it. i think that it could be better seeing how the air in the fender is cooler than the air around the radiator.

I don't know if it would make much of a difference. But my friend's CAI for his eclipse has the filter located somewhere in the fender.

It will not be any better. The radiator position is optimum position because its already getting cold air from in front of the car.
