full open exhaust question

i am currently having a custom grind cam put in (230/236 581/590 on a 112 lsa) patriot dual valve spring kit, hardened pushrods, lt headers, and a custom tune. what do you guys think about an open exhaust from headers back to dual tips in the rear, no cats, no muffler, i'm keeping the front o2 sensors and doing away with the rear ones. does anyone have a similar set up to this? what does everyone think?

my brother has that exhaust set up its extremly loud!!!!!

does your brothers have a good sound to it or is it just an annoying loud. i have had alot of people saying it will not have a good sound to it at all. i have heard this set up just not on our cars, i have heard it many times at truck pulls and they sound awsome.

i have headers to resonators to slp lm1....similar?...? I love it and get lots of great comments on how it sounds.

so do you have cats on that set up? the slp muffler you have can be set up for wide open or muffled correct? so it sounds good wide open?

Not really I have obx resonators in place of my cats. As for the slp not sure because it was on the car when i bought it. How would I tell? Everyone I know says it does ...here is a video at the track...may help

he is cerrently running high flows to make it quiet but not much of a difference with them on,but to me its to loud he said he would install mufflers in the summer for a much deeper sound.

My current setup is headers into the stock exhaust without cats,muffler and it is loud as hell at WOT but it does sound facking great though.
I love it and it will prolly take a couple of tickets before taking it off.

guys i have a lt's to 3 in ypipe back to a flowmaster system. I wanted to find something with the same sound as flowmaster but that is louder or a lot louder. Its a single inlet to duals, flowmaster muffler..anyone know of a direct fit in replacement that i could get that would be LOUDER!!!!! thx

Ive got the same setup without any cats, Ive been looking at the Hooker cat-back system. $300 and sounds real good from the clips ive listened to, im hoping its louder than my flowmaster.

go for it! and then if you have to get a muffler and have a cutout installed at the same time so you can have that sound again.

i notice you have the firebird emblem embroidered on your headrest, did that come like that, i wanted to get ws6 embroidered in white on my headrest and was wandering if there is anyone that does that type thing or a place you can buy them or whatever.
