Pewter metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
A lid should be the first mod to an LS1, if you don't have one yet. Should run you about $100. SFCs are one of the best(not glamorous because it doesn't add power but will preserve your car) early mods to do. The next couple of mods I would look into an LS6 intake(not sure what you meant by intake) and long tubes like you mentioned. If you are an automatic transmission, I would do a stall convertor+tranny cooler before anything else. Hope this helps, and good luck

First?
All free (pretty much free) mods are accumulative by nature and one mod performed is not apt to give you a seat of the pants difference. Perform them all and they will show a difference at the end. I would do the Lid, Smooth Bellows, Throttle Body (TB) ByPass, and maybe the Under Drive Pulley (if you have the bucks $213 on EBay). Then at the least on the exhaust, an after market CatBack (CB) unless you opt for Long Tubes (LT's) or Mid's. I used Shorties because of emmision issues. You will really know a difference after the above...at least I did. I am going to put it on the Dyno after the first of the year. I would be happy with 330-340 @ the rear wheels.
2000 Z28 M6, SLP Lid, SLP Bellows, SLP UD,
P&P Maf, TB By-Pass, PS Shorties, LS6 Intake, FAST 78mm TB, Hooker CB, Hurst Billet, Front Tower Brace, small 218/218....527/527....114 cam.

Boxed resist the flexing better than the tubed SFCs. BMR, SLP, UMI, Spohn, really any brand is gonna be good as long as they are boxed and welded in.

I agree, SFC are a great platform to start building off of. They strengthen the chassis, stop rattles associated with t-tops, and prevent the imfamous quarter panel creases from appearing after long terms of abuse and launching with all that fun torque. Other than that, LT's are the way to go.

Prices
SLP smooth bellows around $55-60 on Ebay. TB ByPass $6-7 on Ebay. SLP Lid around $80-100 on Ebay. You can perform the latter with basic hand tools and about an hours work. There are of course other options for a bellows and some will argue any smooth hose will work, and they are correct if properly fitted. The hardware for the TB ByPass can be purchased at most hardware stores for slightly less. I just opted for the easier softer way and went with the factory deals.

I am not sure what model car Mr. Milkman drives or his mods but his opinion is valued. Personally I side with others and believe unrestricted air flow in the front is as equally important as unrestricted air that exits the rear. Ford or Chevy (I have owned them both) need air (thus blowers and super chargers) and free flowing exhaust to reach max gains on an internal combustion engine. Read posts by others..research the web...check out installuniversity.com and other excellent sites. Good luck and keep reading the different opinions and in particular their dyno numbers and mods they post to get to that end.

who is this guy? bellows dont do shit , especially for the ridiculious price, if anything go to the hardware store and pick one up for like 5 bucks i've herd its been done and works just as well as other "smooth" bellows. believe what you want man but the gains are soooo little it doesnt even count. if your that concerned with the flow which everyone is , through on a CAI but yea who am i?
