Fan temps? 160? 195? help please..

I am installing a 160 F thermostat on my car tomorrow. I have a hypertech programmer III and was wondering what i should set the fan timings on. Install University (which i trust) says to have them kick in at 160 F too. However, I heard from another source you should run them at 195 F... any comments or suggestions are much appreciated. Thanks.

I think 160 is too low - they'll run constantly. Mine run A LOT and have them set to:

Fan 1 on 184/off 175 low speed fans
Fan 2 on 194/off 185 high speed fans

Pretty sure if you check the HPP3 site that's what they recommend for the 160.

160 is way too low. They will never shut off.

Fan 1 on 184/off 175 low speed fans
Fan 2 on 194/off 185 high speed fans
    Is correct

Hypertech ask for the thermostat size, which will be 160, so select 160 and it will do the rest. Very different from HP Tuners, where you can select & edit all the other parameters. Like you said, you can always change it higher !!!
