exhaust rattle???

so i put a Cutout on my car, and now I hear a really weird rattle when I rev my engine. Is this a normal sound? the car only has around 60K miles on it, so it's not too worn out. You can't really hear it unless the exhaust is open. Here's a video.

should I be worried?

Is it an electric cutout? Mine does that now too, it's actually the butterfly in the cutout rattling. Mine does it at idle and certain rpm's.

It came with a gasket. It's actually the butterfly inside the cutout that rattles. If I put my finger on it the rattling at idle stops...

ya, it's only when I rev it. It's a QTP electric cutout.... That sucks if that's what it is. I paid alot of money for it and I don't want to be embarrassed when I rev it by sounding like something's falling apart. It only happens when it's open.

That's the only time that I notice it. While it's open it seems to make all the rattles in my car rattle. haha

yah my change in my ashtray use to rattle with my exhaust, but also i had SFC and the bolts had worked loose and it was a really loud rattle when i revved but could also be slightly heard when driving normally and thats what it was just something you might check but since it's only when the QTP's are open its prolly something with them.

QTP won't honor your complaint, they don't have warranty, they'll probably just blame you and say you screwed something up. You should have gone with DMH like I did, cheaper and has a 4 year warranty.

have a buddy run the gas for you while you look underneath and you may be able to narrow it down that way....
