Exhaust Question

Hey guys, I know this sounds like a total noob question and probably is. I currently have a borla exhaust catback, I plan on ordering some lt headers this week and wanted to know on a 5.7l how much difference in the sound will I get? I mean will it be a LOT louder or just a little? Also, I am getting the ORY along with it, do I still need hi flow cats?

it will be louder and if your state does not use cats you should get a cat less ory and with no cats it will even be louder just my .02

Thanks a lot, couple more questions. So on the v8 fbody the cats are actually built in to the y pipe? Also, will I trip any kind of 02 sensor by going catless?

they sell SIM for the 02 or you could get them turned off by a tuner

or let them read ambient air.... it will be alot louder....

you can turn the o2 sensors off with a diablo handheld tuner.

Headers give it alot more volume to the sound alot deeper and go with the catless Y. As for the codes, just tune them out. LSXtune uses mail order to flash your pcm and tune it for like $125 alot better than a handheld.
