what would you guys recommend electric or manual cutouts?

Now that's a good question... I have the manual caps now and thought about going electric because that would be cool !!!
Today I went through the automatic car wash and got hung up trying to leave... Had to have everyone back up to let me out... If you have the clearence, then, I would go with the electrics !!!

as far as price wise are the electrics worth it? ive even seen a manual cutout open and closed with a cable is that junk?

Cable to me would be cheesy... The electric switch control would be sweet !!!
It would suck to bottom them out and break them, because of the price. I keep looking on ebay for a bargain. Good Luck !!!

I have an electric cutout.
I cannot go in those automatic car wash places. Car is too lowered in the first place, then with the cutout, no waayyyy.

Looks like the QTP I had on mine, before I broke it. They could've done a better job positioning the cutout/motor portion angle - mine never hung that low.

I have dual capped cutouts right off the headers... I might try the electrics, but I'm not going to have much clearance... ( I will bring ramps to the car wash ) LOL !!!

i have a set of low profile ones from DMH performance. they have a very good motor, and dont interfere with ground clearence at all. they are not on their site but you can call and talk to Dave and mention that is what you are interested in. the number is 513-753-3866.

..by the way. the website is DMHPerformance.com. Bill, the low profile ones might be good for you. I have long tubes and am lowered but it doesnt cause any problems. the cuts you make are 3 1/2 OVAL instead of circles. I have both mine right after the cats at the bend on the left and right of my Y-pipe. this makes the opening face 45 degrees outwards and backwards. I love the sound.
