    Exhaust Cut-out?

I just recently put a cut-out, is it ok to leave it off at all times. I do like the way it sounds. Or is it bad? I dont see how, but could it hurt the engine? Car is all stock, just have a lid on it.

I have mine open 99% of the time for about 4 years. The car was actually sold off a dealer lot with an open cut out. The only time I close it is when I go on long trips on the highway. 6th gear at 80mph there is a nasty drone.

I'm about to have a cut-out installed on mine (cam and bolt-ons) and the only time I'll have it closed is coming/going in my neighborhood at night/morning, and on long trips.

A catalytic converter (colloquially, "cat" or "catcon") is a device used to reduce the toxicity of emissions from an internal combustion engine.

Yes, they give you a plate cover. There are studs sticking out of it, you slip the cover over the studs, then you put some wing nuts (provided as well) and tighten them down.
