exhaust 98-99 compared to 00-02

I was thinking of buying this http://www.macperformance.com/store/...Product_ID=765 but they dont make one for the 2001 year what would be the difference could it still wrk any help would be awesome thanks

Im not sure exactly what the difference is, i wouldnt think it would be to awful much, worst case situation you may need to Adjust or mod the pipe a bit to ensure a tight fit.

Headers and Y pipes are always sold separately for 98-99 cars versus 2000-2002... not sure why either. Nonetheless, if they are sold that way it is for a good reason - and I would expect some fitment "differrences."

well i know the manifolds are different which probly means the cats mount either higher or lower which would extend the Y pipe up or down.
Hmmm. I gotta do some more research..

`00+ got the new cast iron exhaust manifolds with both cats mounted right off the manifold. the `98-99 systems have the right cat under the floor.

98-99 has pasenger cat welded to the y-pipe



00-02 has cats bolted directly to the exhaust manifolds

bassani makes one for your 2001

57002 = stainless steel

BX57002 = aluminized
