    Exhaust??

    I will be purchasing a WS6 in the VERY near future. What's the best exhaust to put on? Looking for a loud system that will keep tone throughout.

    Welcome! Lots to choose from out there and it is really a matter of personal taste. You might want to do a little research as some of the systems seem to become raspy after you upgrade to longtubes and such in the future. One option to consider is a system that gives you decent, but not overpowering sound, such as a Magnaflow. You then add an electric cutout to this and can run anywhere from muffled to wide open.

    Thanks Spaz for the link. I'm just a lil leary of the electric cutouts. I've heard they have issues with getting stuck in either position.

    as long as the cut outs are closed no... exhaust mods will have some effect on emissions... here is PA they plug in a scanner to see if any codes are being thrown... no codes = pass emissions... not sure how your state handles emissions though... but even with full exhaust (provided you have cats) you should still be able to pass...

    The cutouts need to be mounted far enough downstream from the O2 sensors so as not to cause an issue with outside air being drawn into the exhaust and throwing off the air/fuel. In most applications, this is not a problem from the pics I have seen posted.
