i've got pacesetters, tsp ory and lm1, with a cam. i love the way it sounds at idle. i'm still feelin out the sound while accelerating and driving. just got it tuned yesterday and one minute i like it, the next it sounds a bit raspy. not sure what to go with if i decide to change though. the power is definately there. with my setup i'm at 392 hp/ 378 tq to the wheels.

you dont need a x pipe but if you wanted you could i have hooker long tubes with piping going beside both sides of the tranny and bullets dumped right at the tail shaft

Any exhaust with long tubes is going to be loud. Expect maybe slp dual/dual or magnaflow. I would keep the Y pipe for a bolt on setup.
As far as choices with LT's here are my top 2: Both flow very well.
1. Hooker- Very deep. It will sound alittle louder than stock at idle, mean at crusing speeds, and loud at wot with no rasp (Catted Y). Its a great setup for me at a reasonable price.
2. GMMG- This exhaust will be louder and pretty raspy but they do sound mean as hell. If the rasp doesnt bother you this one is great. The only draw back is the price.

I would agree with True duals getting you where you want to be. They make more power than an off the shelf y pipe design and sound awesome. I have ran two different sets from TSP and they tucked up nice. (hardly ever scraped on my lowered car)
I just changed from my TD's to TSP Off Road Y and Magnaflow catback and it sounds entirely too tame.

kooks are also a pretty good brand but can be pricey
