Engine cut-out at 120mph
so my car is being extremely weird...if i am accelerating at WOT and hit 120 all of a sudden it feels as though i hit a rev limiter (car is tacking 4000). If anyone has any info about this please get back to me...its really bothering me not being able to go faster than that.

give us more info, my guess is the speed limiter is set to this. If your car didn't come with Z rated tires, that's the problem. All Z rate tire cars were set to 162

check the sticker inside the drivers door. where the size is between the size and the pressure you will see a speed rating.

Yep, my car came w/2.73's and GSC tires, has Z rating on the door. There's also RPO codes for the tire ratings.

alright, so i checked and it said that it had T rated tires originally. Thats not Z and im guessing thats why it does this...Now just one more question, can someone refer me to a good ls1 guy in the orlando/tampa area. (does it matter if i go to an ls1 guy or can i just go to a mechanic?)

Why bother going through the trouble and $$ just to have the speed limiter disabled?

a handheld programmer should be able to remove the speed limiter...so you can do it yourself. I could be wrong though but if any of the handhelds can do it the predator handheld can
