    1998 Trans Am

    Energy Suspension Motor mounts or prothane mounts

    Which one would be better? Ive only have whats in my sig. as mods. Some bolt on's. Also dont plan on doing much more to it.

    i have prothane and they fit and work just fine.

    I have energy and they're fine. I heard there's a difference between the black and red ones but I don't know what it is. scraping the rubber from the old rubber mounts out of the clam shells was a pita but the mounts won't fit right if there's piece of the old mount in there.

    ^^^ luckily mine were so worn out once I drilled the rivits out the rubber easily pulled out.

    Same here- rubber just fell out.

    The difference between the red and black is the black has graphite in it and the red does not. Black are less likely to squeak according to Energy Suspension's FAQ.
