    Emssions Y Pipe...

Is there a emissions legal y-pipe that still uses stock cats aside from the SLP one? This is the one I saw: http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=31035

Any other suggestions would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Just take it to an exhaust shop and have them make you a custom one. Anything after the cats will be able to pass smog. The thing about your car aidrocks is that for some reason GM was being retarted that year and had one cat welded on to the manifold and the other bolted on so its not as easy to swap out cats or doing a Ypipe swap.

Random Tech makes a y pipe that has new cats but in the stock location.

Waste of money tho. Won't change the sound or performance much if any. That SLP one that bolts up after the cats and just eliminates the flattened part is useless too.

    Should I just get a cut-out instead?

Cut out is a great mod. If you dont want headers I'd get an off road Y pipe and just swap it every other year for emissions and do the cut out in the I pipe before the axel.

Borla makes one from the cats back, its similar to the slp. I have it on my car and like it, I picked it up used on the forum here a few years back for $100.

The was a very slight differance in sound. I did not feel any gain from it but I had future plans for it. Which was putting mac headers on and 2.5in cats which all went into the borla y-pipe. It all went toghter very well and tucked up very nicely.
