emissions??
i have a question,so i wan't to get some headers and a y pipe but i would like to still be able to pass emissions so i need cat's because i live in texas and there berry strict on that, other wise you can't get your inspection sticker witch you need if you live in texas. so i was wondering do you guys know off a good combo of headers and y pipe that will fit cat's two i was thinking on goin with hooker headers and y pipe but i dont know if cat's can fit and witch to pick thanks for any help you guys can give me

It all depends on how strict your state is. You can get a catted-Y pipe with your headers and then get the computer tuned to delete the rear 02's and it'll pass a visual inspection. The hydrocarbon release will be higher than stock simply because you're flowing more exhaust more freely and high flow cats don't burn up the unspent fuel as well simply because the exhaust is flowing out more quickly than stock. If you're state uses a sniffer and expects your car to be within a range/percenteage of stock you might have problems no matter what you do. I've heard of some pulling a plug off a fuel injector to get past emissions, but I've never tried it myself since we don't have inspection out in the county.

Stay away from slp, well at least for the headers, y pipe, and stuff. I have a obx racing header/high flow cat/y combo it came all together for only $695.00 plus it's stainless steel. But Texas Speed sells a pacesetter and catted y combo that is a pretty good price too which I would have gotten but I wanted stainless steel.

Well for the texas speed kit go to texas-speedand for obx kits i went on ebay and searched obx ls1 headers. Just make sure for the obx stuff on ebay that it says it comes with high flow cats otherwise they will be resonators even though they look the same and the price should be around 675-695 if it is in the $499 or close to that they most likely come without cats.

I live in Houston and have Lt's and a ory and the rear 02's tuned out. it passes on the ONS 2 test all you have to do is find a station like a few of the ones here that as long as you pass on the computer you get a sticker no visual inspections if you tip the inspector$29 is the uusual amount I give the guy when I bring my TA or my TRAILBLAZER in with the Windows that are a little too dark.

Here are some pics of the system I told you about. Sry if the pictures aren't very good they are the only ones I could get at the moment.
