have another emission related question. i'm tryin to save money and learn by doin it on my own vs pay a shop. i wanna wait to tune my o2s til after emissions because i'm gettin lt's, but im throwin o2 codes. will clearing the codes pass it for emissions? or can they tell? thanks

What codes? If you don't have LT's yet and your throwing O2 codes, what are the codes? If it is just bad O2's on the rear side, they just rat out to the computer. they don't actually make the computer change anything, they just check that the system is working normal and that the cats are doing thier job. If the front are throwing codes that can be a problem and you need to find out what is causing it

i dont have lt's yet, im gettin em in a month or so. i think its throwin the rears i'm gonna find out. but if it is in fact just a rear or both rears can i clear em out & pass or can they tell its been cleared? if its the fronts i was gonna look into it, see whats causin it and fix it. thanks for the input
