    elite catch can

    I bought the elite catch can, do i have to take the egr off/delete on my 99 to install this? i wish i would have known that before i bought it.

    I zip tied mine to the a/c lines till I removed the egr. Not the prettiest but functional.

    Its a version of catch can made Elite Engineering's. Same setup at the one sold by KYSpeed.

    No you don't have to remove EGR to run a catch can. However, if your can is supposed to be mounted where the EGR goes (most are) you'll need to find another mounting location.

    Those elite cans are pricey. I think I payed $65 for my accurate machine works catch can. They look to be the same quality also.

    my car is at the body shop right now otherwise i would post pics. I may end up just using it on the z06 until i get an ls6 manifold cause thats the only reason i can see in deleting the egr right now.
