Exclamation electronic Cutout on Adjustable Borla tips??

is it possible to put an electronic cutout into the adjustable section of the Borla??? I think that would be so bad ass!

Yeah, QTP makes one. GMHTP used one for one of their articles on a full-exhaust setup for an LS1 TA.

Here you go, fits in there perfectly, just run your wires through one of those black rubber circles through the back of your car under the carpet down the drivers side under the trim pieces to your dash, works like a champ, and you can still go nice and quiet in stealth mode.

The only problem I've heard of is that with the extra width of the cutout, its hard to keep the passenger side tip the same length as the driver's side. It may take some minor persuasion to get everything equal.

I would imagine that it would sound the same as the fully closed plate at came with the borla kit. And the same with it open.

That's what I plan to do, because my current setup is way too loud for me. I want it to be as quiet as possible when closed for normal city street driving and in my neighborhood, and then be able to hit the switch for the real sound.

BTW, how thick is the typical electric cut out plate?

Hey Nightmare, what part of the Charleston area do you live? I am up there regularly since I and my wife have much family there.

I live in Summerville, there's quite a large f-body group in the area.

What muffler is that? Is it the one that comes standard with the Borla? I wonder if there are several muffler options with a Borla kit.... Like I mentioned previously, I want to be as quiet as reasonably possible when closed.
