Egr elimination

Got a 98 ss and wanted to gwt rid of all the egr stuff, but worrying about the light coming on. Will it come on , and if so what kind of tuner could I get, and where to get it?thanks

Yes the light will come on. I'd advise a dyno tune or someone using hptuners. To my knowledge, handhelds are no longer have the ability to disable the emissions codes. However when I had a diablosport tuner, with the optional USB cable I could have sent my tune to diablosport and they could send one back with those codes disabled.

Are you just deleting the EGR or are you doing the air pump also?

Frost can help you with his mail order tune. Worth it (yes I one of many here that have one) His tune can also free up other things too. You can find his webiste in the sponsor section or just PM him: FROST

yep....get a mail order from frost. Cheaper and better than a hand held. There's a timing adder table for the egr that will need to be zero'd out or you'll get tip in knock.....he will take care of all that plus lean the car out a bit so you'll make more power.
