    ebay header install help!!

    so i got the headers all the way put on until i was about to install the AIR tubing back up then realize it was facing the wroung way?????

    That's interesting... probably can't bend the piping without something cracking is my guess. Only fix would be to lop it off and have it TIG welded back on after turning it 90 degrees. Could also do the same to the stand pipe I suppose in lieu of removing the headers.

    Looks like your plug boots are about laying on the headers. You can bend those to gain additional clearance. Just remove the wire from the plug before bending it. I added a set of DEI heat sleeves for added protection on ours.

    I got a friend to look at it and he thinks I'm better off deleting the AIR system
    And pray I find a shop to pass me

    You can bend the air pipes, did this on mine back in the day before LS1 Edit came out. I'd just ditch the whole air system tho. (which I did)

    I would ditch it too but if you're worried about passing smog without the air system I'm now wondering how you were going to pass with longtubes?

    As long as I got all the emissions crap on it and will pass a obd2 test. I will pass. In other words if its there and I don't throw codes I pass.

    i just bought some longtubes and had the egr removed from the header it looks cleaner and if you remove the whole air system ur losing a few pound too thats whet im doin anyway

    x2...if its a plug in test only you are good to go. just get the codes deleted out.
