    dual cutouts for emissions states.

I'm looking to re do the exhaust, but here in the peoples republic of Washington we have emission tests, but no visuals. I was going to run LT with cutouts and just leave the back stock for daily driving. Aside from the fact that the cutouts will be a bit further up, any downsides to this set up? It will have the extra weight and I'd prefer to go electronic opening ones just for ease of operations, but those things are fairly pricey, anyone else done something like this?

You'd have to check with your state laws on the details of what's legal or not. But true duals don't play a factor in emissions. Your plan sounds like a good one.

with no cats, you'll already be violating the laws.

this thread isn't about tru-duals. it's about dual cutouts. i'll change the title.

Dual cutouts will be LOUD and probably lower your power output.

Use the single cutout location (under the passenger seat on the i-pipe) and keep the rest stock.

I guess I wasn't specific and forgot to add, I was looking at that setup opposed to true duals. A couple people mentioned getting O2 simulators. I didn't want to spens a fortune to include new cats on a true dual system. I think the true duals is what I want, just not the pricetag. If I were back in Mich, they don't check emissions, but its still a violation. I definitelt want long tube headers, but I guess I'll just price compare the options. The cost of cutout probably outweigh slp cats? Thanks for the .02!
