Cutouts
i just have a quick question i have a 98 ws6 with flowmaster exhaust and i want to get dual cutouts. My friend has a 01 with aftermarket headers with cutouts and it sounds great and its loud, i mean real loud lol. do i need to replace my headers or can i keep the stock ones and it still sound like that. i dont really care for adding performance right now since i just got out of school and im gonna have some costly college cost ahead of me i just want it to sound really good and loud but keep the price within reason. also if the stock headers with cutouts is quieter is it really that noticeable. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Loud it will be.
It was also have a bit of a power loss.
If you want a cutout, go with a single one after the y-pipe.2008 Trailblazer SS

Question: is single better than double?
Regarding power loss, when I recently had my SS dynotuned, we ran it with the exhaust open and it closed. I have a single cutout.
With it open I picked up only 4 rwhp but 14 rwt all across the curve, so it appears I am gaining slightly with it open.2002 SLP Camaro SS
