let me be the first to officially inform you of the "search" tool... lol.

Seriously though, yeah, you're bypassing almost all of the exhaust, so it'll be a lot louder. If you have LTs, it may very well be too loud to just leave open all the time, so either go electric, or get real used to laying on your back and fussing with wing nuts!

i got lt's, ory, no cats and one cutout, i drive 99% of the time with it open, its not bad when crusing around and low rpms but when you holly $h!t
its loud!!! i like it. its not as bad as you think it would be just do it, it would def sounds better if you have lt's ive heard them with just manafolds and it doesnt sound as badass. Mr louis has a video of his on here look it up he has two cutouts.

Have an electric QTP in my SS, works great.
F.Y.I.: Just had my SS dyno tuned and when we ran it with the cutout open, I picked up (only) 4 rwhp but 14 ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheels.

I am in the process of getting the parts for my electric cutout. Can anybody on here share how they wired it and where they tied in for power? Maybe some pictures as well?? Thanks so much for your help.

really ive been wanting to dyno mine open to see how much more i lost or gained, i know i lost a little low end torque, i can really feel the difference when it is open but cant stand a quiet car so i run it open

Have Kooks 1-7/8's, ory, B&B Tri-Flo with QTP 3" electric cut-out. The car made 14rwhp peak more decap'd on the squeeze, and showed a substantial increase in the upper rpm's versus closed exhaust. Performance is night and day difference on my car with the cut out open, much better top-end.

You mean down low? Cause I'm running completely open right now (untuned) and mine is a little doggish down low, but mid range and up top it pulls like a mother!!! I'm goin td's, so 2 cutouts will be in order for me

Sorry to hijack, but didnt want to make another post about cut-outs.

Tell me if this would work.

LT's with a ORY, when the ORY connects to form one pipe, place the Cut-Out there, then leave the rest of the exhaust as-is. I don't see a problem with this, but I havnt been under the car to see if its possible.

    Any input?

Do you think they would offer any real increase in power with something like the Bassani TD setup?

i was talking to the local ls1 shop and he was saying that it all depends on what you have for power and what cat back you have. if you have a magnaflow you wouldnt need a cut out till you get to the 450 hores mark.
