Im going to get a cut out 2 and I did some research and it seems like everyone recomends the DMH because they are proven to last longer and they have a great warranty. A few people said that they had to return the QTP a couple of times to get them fixed.

Just get a manual one. Way cheaper and is guaranteed to work period. If your a true die hard about working on your car you won't mind getting on the ground and getting dirty like me.

"If your a true die hard about working on your car you won't mind getting on the ground and getting dirty like me."
So what you tryin to say?

i think that was uncalled for and it simply pissed me off.

Wow, if your gonna let a comment like that get to you like it did then you might take a deep breath and calm down.

I personally think getting the electric version is just being lazy. I see how it could benefit others that aren't exactly in their prime years anymore and don't want to be bending down or getting under their cars doing it the old fashioned way but I also can't see how spending the extra $100 over the price of a cutout is worth it.

Forgive me if I scratched a nerve.

Theres pro's and con's for both electric and manual, Lets just stay focused on the quesiton at hand. Dmh isnt a bad deal but over time the solenoids are prone to failure due to the high heat passing through them.

Yes,,,,use DMH,,,,,it's what I went with on my chevelle. I chose him at first because it has a 4 year full warranty,,,,,but what interested me the most was the fact that he is right up the street from me.....

I called him,,,put the order in. Couple days later they were done, he called me up and invited me to the shop. I picked them up in person and have to say he is one of the happiest and nicest guys you ever want to meet.
A true car guy that loves every type of car. He gave me a great deal as well.

He told me to bring the car back over after the install, he couldn't wait to hear them.

I have since installed them, they work flawless.

And for the lazy do it the old way comment,,,,I come from that era of car enthusiasts and understand what you are trying to say,,,,I have 4 different cars with cutouts,,,and have always removed the caps by hand. Never thought I would have electric cutouts.

I decided to try a pair of them on my chevelle for giggles and I have to say now,,,,,,I've owned this car for 25 years, 3 different motors, 3 transmissions, paint, interior, etc......but these electric cutouts are by far the coolest thing I have ever done to this car hands down. At the flip of a switch I can scare the hell outa someone, then close it back up when the law comes around,,,,extremely cool.

I only have one problem now,,,,,with 3 other cars with dual cutouts I have to buy 3 more sets They are very addicting.
