Corvette fuel rail covers
I ordered these from summit, it said "modifications required for F-body" Just wondering if anyone has them on their Fbody and what I should expect when I'm ready to put 'em on.

yes you will be cutting them. Had to notch the pass. side for the dipstick.and for the throttle cable bracket. cut alot of the drivers side in the back and had to make another cut for the second fuel line....have fun, they are a pain the A$$

A Dremel tool is worth it's weight in gold on this project..... I would also buy some Mechanics gloves, they are tight enough to not get in the way while you are trial fitting, but may save some of the blood you will lose while working in those tight places....
Be patient and cut a little at a time....

there are several sites out there that have them precut and ready to bolt on. and a Dremel tool is worth it's weight in gold on almost any mod job on a car

It's really not that hard. I bought some Z06 ones because I didn't want to pay the huge amount they want for the precut ones. It only took me a couple hours of cutting, test fitting, and doing it all over again. It was well worth the effort though.

I made a stainless throttle cable bracket to keep from hacking up the covers. I made a 1/16" wide by 1" long slot that slides over the bracket since I didn't want to use the fly by wire the corvette has. The covers make a world of difference to the looks.

I tried to put my FRCs on the other day and they wouldnt fit. They are the black ones and have been precut. They have a cut for the throttle bracket, but It still just isnt right. Its it really bad to take that bracket off, that is what the directions say. Or should I just make the cut bigger? Thanks.

U cant take the bracket off, your cables are attached to it. just cut it more, where did you get them (precut)?

you actually can take the whole bracket off... or you can take the individual wires off... asking if this is bad lol

i only had to cut mine on the pass side for the throttle and the dipstick (two small cuts). the two fule lines on the driver side were already there. i have the grey ones and it wasnt much work at all.
