    Coolant Temperature Sensor

Hey guys, need some help. I'm having some problems with my coolant sensors and I have heard that some models have more than one sensor. I have a 2000 Camaro SS and I have located the sensor on the driver's side on the front of the head towards the front of the car, but I dont have a clue where the other one may be. Does any one know where it is, if indeed there is another sensor?

That's the ECT sensor, earlier models have a low coolant sensor also, but not yours - what problems are you having? Is it throwing a code?

I think I may have diagnosed the problem now, after playing around with some stuff for a couple hours. The problem was that the coolant gauge would drop to zero, and when it would do so it would cause the engine to stutter or nearly stall. In the past day, the coolant gauge has been at zero about 50% of the time. I have replaced the coolant sensor twice and today replaced the connector (I broke the sensor when installing long tube headers 2 months ago and automatically assumed the new sensor was the problem). Tonight I disconnected my SLP fan control switch, which was also installed about 2 months ago, and it elminated the problem and ran fine. I plan on contacting SLP tomorrow.

    thanks for the help!
