    Confused about lid and ls6 intake

    I have a 2001 ws6, some posts say that people with 2001 are lucky due to a ls6 intake, does that mean I don't need a lid or or what?

    I'm still learning things today, so its no problem.

    Just to clarify a few Things;

    01 and 02 never came with a lid stock.

    All 01 and 02 came with a ls6 intake.

    Some 01 and 02 came with a ls6 block, but still have ls1 internals.

    SLP Lid = Induction component

    Ls6 Intake = Intake Manifold

    Two entirely different things. Sounds like you have it figured out.

    Well, TECHNICALLY all F-bodies came with lids, but very few came with aftermarket lids "stock". One example is the Blackwing lid that was an option only in 2002, I believe.

    I think this comes from todays society that has become too lazy to put words like "AIR" or "MANIFOLD" in the same sentence of more common words like "INTAKE" so us normal people can differenciate the meaning of it
