    coil packs and fuel injectors

Could I get a used set of coil packs or fuel injectors off of a ls2, ls3, or ls7 to upgrades the ones on my ls1 in my 02 t/a and save a little money. I was thinking I could get a used set off of a vet and it would be a nice upgrade. I have no clue of the actual specs. So is this a good idea or am I just being ignorant and will just be replacing mine with the same caliber of parts and getting no performance upgrade.

Your stock coils are just fine... why do you want to change them?

I had changed out my spark plugs and as installuniversity listed on their walkthrough I gapped them at 0.60. After doing research of my own I came to find out the gap was about a tenth more than usual. Which the bigger gap is supposedly better for gas mileage and horsepower. But it does cause the idle to not run as smooth because the bigger gap takes more voltage to create the spark. I figured if I upgraded my coilpacks it would take care of that problem.

Yea I saw them, but for as small of an upgrade as they'll be its not really worth it. I was hoping I could get a used pair off a vet or maybe a new cam. Maybe get them from somebody who had upgraded theres and it would be a much cheaper upgrade to my t/a.

I sure hope not, lol that's over half an inch.. Larger gap = not even enough gains for a butt dyno..

    Stock coils are fine..
