    Cats going out?

Im getting a ratteling noise from my exhaust. Near the front, if you push it doesnt go away. My brothers are saying its the cats, but i just had them replaced, because of the recall. Is there anyway to know for sure if its the cats....hurting for money, i guess im just going to save up for the headers

Yeah, mine were rattling and I had them replaced under warranty too. I would take them back if you are hurting for money and see what they say.

I have two brand new CATS now and then I put headers on.

check to be sure you don't have a loose heat sheild. they have small weak spotwelds and when one breaks loose they can make a hell of a rattle

I took mine in for a few years and they told me the rattle was the 02 sensor. Said that it worked fine but was rattling. They also changed the cats no charge at that time to be safe. had it rattle for another 2 years before putting headers on and chunking that rattling 02 in the garbage.

I agree it could be a heat shield but the 2 sound different, if it sounds muffled it's the cats. Wait a day or 2, there is a good video on youtube that nails the sound of the cats perfectly! If somone could post the link, I would like to hear it again also.
