hey guys i plan on running the tsp true dual system with lt pacesetter headers..but my main question is what are the purpose of cats?? why shuld i take them out? what will it benefit me and how much better will it sound?? will it run funny or anything cuz i dont want raspy either..please help

I see you live in tree hugger land. I dont know if you can pass emissions in Cali.
Cats are there to pass emissions, clean the air and hug a tree.

Come listen to my car, I live about 25 min from Sacramento. I have LT headers, not cats with an offroad y pipe and a magnaflow exhaust. Without the cats it does sound raspy!!

No........... I actually put all the stock parts back on, get it smogged, and then put all the cool stuff back on. A lot of work!!!!!

Holy hell, that is alot of work. I would just get some high flow cats. That has to be a Royal PITA.

worst case just hollow out your cats and clamp them over you ORY... you'll pass visual that way...
