    2001 Trans Am WS6

    catalyic conv gone out...what should i do

    Hello, I have a 2001 Black On Black WS6. My pass. converter is gone out. There is alot rattling. I went to 2 muffler shops and one was gonna charge 550 & the other 500. They said a universal wont work because the converter is right at the manifold. They said I need a direct connect converter... I feel like if im gonna spend 500 on it, is there another route for me to go to get more horses......

    just go with a off road y pipe, if you dont have the vehicle inspections in you state.. makes the car louder, and lets it breathe..

    How many miles on the car? GM extended the cats warranty on the 00-02 LS1 F-cars to 10 years/120K back in December 2006. Is it throwing P0430?

    correct....unless you're over 120k it's free.
